Universal Tooth Numbering System

There are several tooth numbering systems used around the world. In the United States, the Universal System is the most commonly employed.1 The primary dentition is identified by the letters of the alphabet, A-T, while the permanent dentition is identified by the numbers 1-32. Table 3 outlines the Universal Tooth Numbering System.
